Cosmas Hoo graduated from LASALLE Collage of the Arts, Diploma in Dance Programme in May 2014 as a recipient of the Lee Foundation Scholarship for the academic year of 2014. He has completed both his Latin-American Ballroom Dance certs in Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and United Kingdom Alliance in Honors. He was also ranked First in Asia in the American Ballroom Recognition for the year 2008 and 2009. Cosmas is trained in Latin-America Ballroom dance, Contemporary, Jazz and Hip-hop.

Cosmas was offered a role as a main company dancer in Re: Dance Theatre back in 2012 when he was still in his Freshman Year and his first production was Whisper of The Tempest, where he worked and rehearsed with local choreographers such as Albert Tiong, Depheny Chen, Foo Yun Ying, Andy Cai, Leia Ang and Guest appearance, Lim Pei Shan. He had also worked with many overseas choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Marrisa Osato, Will Johnson and Matías Martinez from Vision of the Dance Company and performed in the esplanade grand theatre as one of their main leads. In addition, Cosmas recently auditioned and was given a chance to be one of the top contemporary dancers in Singapore to work with Renown Choreographers as such Caitlyn Grey from Broadway Dance Centre for the BMW Series 5 Car launch.

He is now a Freelance Dancer and in 2016, he has performed and competed in numerous shows and competitions. Competitions such as The Royal Dance-Off, Singapore Dance Delight and recently won The Arena 2017 and will be representing Singapore in the May. Shows, such as the annual DanzPeople Recital, Dans Festivals, The Royal Dance-Off, AEP by DanzPeople and John Mead Dance Company, a Site-Specific work in Singapore Civic District Area and BMW Car Launch Series 5.

Currently, he teaches technique class and courses at various studios as well as choreographs for studios, Primary and Secondary schools enrichments programmes. Not only that, Cosmas has also been invited numerous times to conduct Masterclass workshops for National University Singapore (NUS), where he taught over hundreds of students.

Cosmas has been teaching for 4 years in dance studios, 3 years in Primary, Secondary and University. He generally works well with students range from age 7 to 23 and has taught adult classes at Danz People, Beat factory and The Royal Dance-Off.
