Jacklyn started her dance journey in 2006 as an extra curricular activity in her Junior College during which she competed in competitions like Danceworks and also took part in the Singapore Youth Festival (Modern dance) and attained the Gold Award together with her team.

With her style deeply rooted in Hip Hop and Street Jazz, she trained, performed and competed under the mentorship of leading industry professionals including, Mr Ryan Tan (OSchool) and Mr Patrick Loo (Danzpeople). Her 7 years of dance training also allowed her the opportunity to explore and perform other genres including Contemporary & Lyrical Jazz.

Since joining National University of Singapore, Jacklyn has become an avid member in student dance clubs including NUS Dance Blast! and NUS Dance Synergy. These student clubs gave Jacklyn explore and teach her own choreography and also take part in numerous dance productions like the bi-annual Shut up and Dance and the annual Exxon Mobil Campus Concert. She continues to return to the NUS Dance Blast! in the capacity of an alumnus to help choreograph performance pieces.

Apart from student clubs, Jacklyn also actively takes part in external competitions and productions. She has performed in recitals organized by O School and Danzpeople and also placed Top 4 together with her team in Singapore’s Best Dance Crew in 2011 as well as the Jim Beam Dance Competition in 2010. Her team was also recently a finalist at the Singapore Dance Delight Vol.4 in April 2013. Jacklyn plans to further her passion for dance by continuing to challenge and take on new styles and genres but more importantly, she hopes to keep sharing with others her own style of Hip-Hop and Street Jazz.
